A force of nature, both beautiful and brutal. Tranquil from a distance but deafening up close. It was as if the cascades of water conjured cascades of equally powerful emotions in my brain, and it took my breath away. it was simply spectacular. The most magnificent sight I have ever beheld.
A curtain of white water came over the grey rocks as if it were being poured from four giant buckets that never emptied. From the top it was brutal and terrifying, from the bottom it was awe inspiring.
Matsirga waterfalls takes its source from springs on Kagoro hills cascading from four natural funnels off the sheer rock cliff from about 25 meters to form a large pool at the bottom which the locals call "river wonderful"
Situated in Madikya close to Kafanchan and about 227 kilometers South of Kaduna. This waterfall is every tourist's delight. The cool breeze that blows, the waterfall's tiny droplets of water that drizzles on you.
what it looks like when it rainsThe initial plan was to have a picnic at the foot of the waterfall after the hike on Kagoro hills, alas the rain would not let us. We were all drenched and had to make a quick stop at the hotel to change into dry clothes and headed to the fall.
The rain is the reason it looks murky. Seems the rain empties itself right here. The river below quickly turned into a big river as a result of the rain. Swallowed up the beach like sand we would have sat on. We just took photos, admired this great beauty and appreciated nature. And decided to leave as it was getting darker.
